My Approach To Coaching

Prior to working with Terri, I didn’t realize my communication with my staff was shooting from the hip. I was reactive and not proactive. After taking the DISC Assessment I became aware of my strengths and weaknesses in dealing with different personalities and becoming better equip to bring my team together.

Since then, all my staff has taken the DISC Assessment. Terri is now a big part of our staff meetings once a month and it has been a real game changer and moral booster for my company. Next month my team will be participating monthly in The Leadership Game to open up lines of communication and sales strategies.

How Do I Know if Coaching Is Right for Me?
There is a lot of information out there that tries to explain what coaching is and how it works, but all the blog posts in the world can’t truly explain the transformative process of coaching. In order to really understand it, you need to experience it, because coaching is both a personal and a unique process.
It is outcome-focused (which most people can understand) but it is simultaneously process-focused, and it is challenging- if not impossible- to explain exactly what that process is like.

Each person’s experience is unique and as a result, each person’s coaching experience is necessarily unique.

Coaching facilitates transformative change. It is challenging, thought-provoking and soul-searching. It is hard work and it is often uncomfortable. This is by design. For true change to occur, you must challenge your long-held thoughts and beliefs.

It takes great strength to undertake this process, and it is this strength that will get you where you want to go. But you have to commit to the process and to yourself. You have to believe you are worth it.
